I buy, fix and resell phones on the side, and selling anything that isn't perfect is a mess. Trade-in sites offer next to nothing for a cracked or locked phone, and on general marketplaces every listing says "great condition" until it arrives.
Honest Phones is my attempt at fixing that:
- Any condition is welcome: cracked, carrier or iCloud locked, or dead
- Sellers can't write the condition. They answer fixed questions and the grade is calculated
- Every IMEI is checked before a listing goes live
- The buyer's payment sits at Stripe until they've had 72 hours to inspect the phone
- 3% seller fee, no listing fees
There's also a free price guide for about 50 iPhone and Galaxy models, with working, cracked and parts-only prices.
