I built Hindfirst because I kept noticing the same problem:
People spend a lot of time discussing important decisions, but the discussion often ends with everyone feeling more confident — not necessarily more correct.
So I wanted to build something that does the opposite.
Hindfirst is a Business Decision Testing platform.
You bring a decision you’re considering.
Hindfirst challenges it from different angles, surfaces weak assumptions, separates evidence from inference, identifies potential failure modes, and helps you find what is worth validating next.
It doesn’t try to tell you that your decision will succeed.
It tries to break the decision before reality does.
For example:
“Should we enter the enterprise market?”
The useful output isn’t “yes, 73% likely.”
It’s understanding what would have to be true, what we don’t know yet, what could make the move fail, and what small experiment could reduce the uncertainty.
You also don’t need to put confidential company information into the test. You can start with an anonymized decision.
Hindfirst is still early, and I’d like to learn from people who make difficult business decisions.
Where do you think Decision Testing would be useful? Where might it fall short? And what important decisions do you think are currently being made with too little challenge?
I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback.
Test the move before you make it.
The idea of challenging a decision before committing to it is really useful. Sometimes we need someone to question our assumptions, not just validate them.
@spotch_founder That’s exactly the problem we’re trying to explore.
A lot of decision-making tools help people validate or analyze an idea. Hindfirst takes a different approach: what if we deliberately try to find the reasons the decision could fail?
Thanks for putting it that way. That distinction is really at the heart of Hindfirst.
