I built HeyNetwork because it is impossible for me to understand my LinkedIn connections by looking through a list. Download your Connections file from LinkedIn (they make you wait about 10 minutes for the email, not our fault), upload it, and your network shows up as one sky. Every star is someone you know. Every thread is two of them who worked together.
Then you adjust the view:
Company. Where everyone works today, grouped by sector. Zoom in and the sectors open into companies.
Then and now. Pick a place you used to work. See where everyone from there ended up. This one is weirdly addictive.
City, school, role, founders, C-suite, new jobs, between jobs. Same people, different order.
Ask it. “Who do I know at Stripe?” Done. It answers only with people who actually worked there. No guessed second-degree nonsense.
Privacy stuff:
We use the names, company and profile links in your file.
You can see it once and have everything deleted, file and network both.
You can link networks with someone, but only when both of you say yes. Either of you can unlink.
“Share this view” makes a picture with company names and counts. No one’s name is on it.
Under the hood it runs on the workforce.ai panel of 100M+ career histories, which is my day job.
Would love to hear what your network looks like. And what view settings we’re missing.
