Most safety apps need you to press a button in an emergency, but what if you can't? Herline checks in on you automatically. If you don't respond, your emergency contact gets an SMS alert. No panic button. No remembering to text when you're home. A 10-minute grace period prevents false alarms. Free to use, Apple Watch supported, built by a solo female founder who needed it herself.

The automatic check-in idea is genuinely clever, but the 10-minute grace period is what really sells it. It shows you've actually thought through the messy reality of how people use these things, not just the fear-based marketing version.
