Hi everyone! I’m so excited to launch HereBite today. Think of it as Airbnb for food. Why we built this: We wanted to solve problems for two groups. For customers, it is almost impossible to find real, healthy, home-cooked food without making it yourself. For chefs, we believe that anyone who can cook should be able to have a job doing it. We wanted to give ordinary people a way to make an income from their own kitchens without needing a restaurant. How our approach evolved: At first, we just built a simple ordering app. But we quickly realized two things. First, logistics are hard. So, we gave chefs full control: customers can either pick up the food right at the chef's home, or the chef can choose to deliver it themselves for an extra fee. Second, we realized that trust is the biggest hurdle for homemade food. Customers need to know the kitchen is clean. To solve this, we added live kitchen video streams. For Customers: You can watch the person cooking your meal live on video! This gives you total peace of mind before you eat. For Chefs: You get a fun way to prove your kitchen is clean, chat with locals, and build trust. Our goal is to turn every neighborhood into a giant menu.
