That experiment became Health Mirror. **What it does** Take a photo of your tongue, and Health Mirror offers a personal wellness reflection. Instead of complicated TCM terminology, it uses metaphors drawn from nature, such as Clear Morning Sky and Sun-Baked Earth. You can revisit past reflections and gradually discover your own baseline, rather than comparing yourself with an abstract ideal. It's not a medical diagnostic tool. It's a little mirror for personal awareness. Privacy was a design priority from the beginning. Your photos and reflection history stay on your device. The cloud service processes image-derived data for inference without retaining it. **An unlikely building journey** Here's another part of the story that might resonate with this community. I built Health Mirror with AI partners, working through everything from model development and mobile engineering to cloud infrastructure, privacy, and App Store reviews.
