Hi Product Hunt ๐
I'm the founder of HaulNova. We build software for independent hotels: the 20- to 60-room properties that run most of India's hospitality, usually with the owner at the front desk.
The problem we kept seeing wasn't software. It was paper.
A guest calls reception for dinner. Someone writes it on a pad. The kitchen gets a slip. A waiter carries the tray. At checkout, someone digs through the slips to work out what goes on the bill, and laundry, minibar and the spa are forgotten half the time. Every missed slip is lost money, and every wrong one is an argument at checkout.
So we built Hotel OS, where every room expense records itself:
๐๏ธ The guest orders from their room. A QR sticker opens their stay: verify with a surname, see the live bill, order food, drinks or spa services. No app, no account.|
Not even a single water bottle bill is missed !!
๐จโ๐ณ The kitchen sees it instantly. It lands on the kitchen display, or the spa's or bar's own screen. The cook taps Start, then Ready.
๐ถ Delivered = billed. When staff mark it delivered, it goes on the room bill automatically, with the right GST.
๐งพ Everything else, the same way. Laundry, airport drops and damages are posted in seconds, each with its own GST. The guest declares minibar use, housekeeping confirms it, and one tap charges it. The night audit posts each room night on its own.
๐ Checkout is one screen. One folio, CGST and SGST split, and a gapless invoice number, settled to the paisa.
No order pads, no registers, and no "did we charge 214 for the laundry?"
Then we added the part chains have and small hotels don't: rate intelligence.
HaulNova finds the hotels you actually compete with, reads their public rates every morning, and suggests a price for each of your room types. It compares like with like (twin with twin, never twin with suite), never goes below your cost floor, and changes nothing until you approve it.
We're onboarding hotels in small batches, so we're approving sign-ups by hand right now.
I'd love to hear from anyone who runs a hotel or restaurant:
What's the one charge that most often goes missing from a guest's bill at your place?
I'll be here all day answering everything
