GrooveTag: MP3 player, ID3 tag editor and artist explorer for Mac

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Reiner, the developer behind GrooveTag. I built this app because I kept switching between different tools just to manage my music: a player, an ID3 tag editor, and separate sources for artist and band information plus their discography. GrooveTag brings all of that together for macOS. The feature I'm most proud of: you can identify a song via Shazam and GrooveTag automatically fills in the complete ID3 metadata from Apple Music, without any Apple Music subscription needed. Version 1.3 just launched and adds the biggest new feature so far: Artist Info & Discography. Browse a searchable gallery of all artists in your library, read their biographies straight from Wikipedia, see the complete discography sorted by release year, and tap any song to play its official video on YouTube, without leaving the app. Everything else in GrooveTag: - 10-band equalizer with 10 presets, +/-12 dB and Volume Boost - Real-time Level Meter (LED display, left and right channel) - ReplayGain for automatic volume normalization - Zoom: scale the whole interface in 10% steps with shortcuts or the View menu - A refined frosted-glass design - Web radio, multi-select drag & drop into the playlist, full window height, Tab to switch table views, Cancel button during import Privacy: no tracking, no analytics, no cloud.
