Smart AI routing and reasoning control to reduce power waste

Modern AI wastes electricity. Frontier models use the most power, and many enable hidden "reasoning" by default, which can multiply power use again. If you just want to cook an omlet, this is insane. Green Robot is a service for casual/non-technical AI users who don't want to be part of the problem anymore. It automatically chooses AI models, and adjusts their reasoning levels, to match the exact needs of every question and eliminate senseless waste, while maintaining high quality. Free to try!

Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm Stuart, and I built **Green Robot** because the energy math behind AI is kind of unhinged. Datacenters already pull more electricity than some countries. Most of that power is going through giant frontier models running full "reasoning" mode... to answer questions a much smaller model could've handled instantly. It's something like delivering a pizza with a 747. π
Green Robot works like a switchboard. It's a normal AI chat experience, but behind the scenes it classifies every query and routes it to the most efficient model that can actually nail the answer. Simple questions are sent to a faster, more power-efficient model. Deeper questions seamlessly bump up to a full frontier model with reasoning. Users get the same quality with a fraction of the waste.
But the biggest lever on power use today is "reasoning": it can burn *many times* the energy of a simple response, for queries that never needed it, and take a long time doing so. Green Robot prevents reasoning for no reason, and moderates the level of reasoning when it *is* warranted. And full power is always a click away when you choose.
The product is a subscription service aimed at more casual, non technical users. The interface is simple and familiar, things work exactly like the big mainstream AI sites, and power optimization is automatic, with nothing to configure.
Please check it out, let me know what you think! Green Robot is free to try and the feedback is invaluable.
