Hey Product Hunt,
When you read in a second language, a translation helps. Keeping the original beside it helps you check the meaning, notice the wording, and keep your place.
We're a small team building Grasp around that reading experience.
In Chrome, Grasp places the translation alongside each original paragraph. If a term is still unclear, tap Option on Mac or Ctrl on Windows to ask what it means in that sentence. You can ask follow-up questions and save useful terms with the sentences you found them in.
We built it for the reading that comes with work: documentation, research papers, customer interviews, and market reports. Parallel translation is the starting point; a contextual explanation is there when you need more.
The companion Mac app brings contextual lookup outside the browser, including PDFs and text you can't select. Both share the same account and notebook. Mac screenshot pixels and text recognition stay on your device; cloud explanations send recognized text and its context after you allow them.
When reading in another language, would you rather keep both versions visible or switch between them? We'd love feedback on which pages Grasp makes easier to read and where it still gets in your way.
