The main goal of Yoga v2 is to allow you to leverage all the GraphQL ecosystem by being compatible with most of the existing schema-design, HTTP server libraries, and deployment environments.

One of my favorite parts about GraphQL Yoga is that as a developer you easily have access to the entire envelop plugin ecosystem out-of-the-box https://www.envelop.dev-- and can implement your own plugins. We did that at RedwoodJS to handle certain directives (and auth) https://redwoodjs.com/docs/direc..., do custom logging, context handling, and more. Plus, you can use existing plugins out there to do things like Rate Limiting or even GraphQL Response caching https://www.envelop.dev/plugins/... with an in-memory or Redis-backed cache.
