GrainLab is a free, browser-based analog film photo editor. Apply film grain, tone curves, color grading, light leaks, vignette, halation, and bloom to your photos ā no login, no install.
Hey Product Hunt! š
I built GrainLab because I missed the feeling of shooting on film ā the grain, the color shifts, the imperfections that make a photo feel alive. Every digital photo editing tool I tried felt either too complex or locked behind a subscription.
So I built something I'd actually use myself.
GrainLab is a free, open-source film photography simulator that runs entirely in your browser. No account, no install, no paywall.
A few things I'm especially proud of:
š 11 film presets ā Kodak Portra, Fuji Velvia, CineStill 800T, and more, each carefully tuned to match the real stock's character
š 8 stackable effects ā grain, halation, light leak, bloom, tone curve, vignette, fade, color grade
š¦ Batch export ā drop in 50 photos, apply a preset, download a ZIP
š Available in 9 languages
I'd love to hear what film stocks or features you'd want to see next. Happy to answer any questions!
