Thanks for your comment. This is the right question to ask, and it's what I thought about first when building GovernKit. You can't solve a compliance problem by creating a new security risk. Here's how we approach trust and security from day one:
Data Isolation: GovernKit does not access, read, or use your company's actual AI prompts, internal documents, or proprietary IP. We only manage the metadata, which includes vendor approvals, the tool registry, and policy text. Your sensitive company data remains outside our system
Enterprise-Grade Security: All data is encrypted both at rest and in transit using standard protocols. We enforce strict role-based access control to ensure only authorized admins can edit policies
Transparency: We are working towards full SOC 2 compliance. Since we are a dedicated governance tool, our entire infrastructure is designed to be ready for audits required by your CISO.
Trust is earned, especially in the GRC space. Our design aims to minimize our presence in your actual data stack. I would love to hear if there are specific security features your team looks for when evaluating a new vendor.
This looks like a very useful tool. I'm currently managing a team of about half a dozen people at a medical startup, so I have a question: Is this tool designed for general use, or does it offer any features specifically for the medical field? For example, would it be useful for a dental technology company?

It isn't designed for a specific industry, instead it is aimed at streamlining the AI tool usage using approval workflows, as well as it lets teams manage AI usage policies for their employees.
