Hello Product Hunters! 👋 I'm really happy to share GitDailies with you today! :) I created GitDailies to help software engineers stay up to date on their team's work, without the constant distraction of GitHub notifications. It gives you a daily snapshot of your team's Commit and PR activity, and has a Peer Recognition system so you can give your teammates a boost ❤️ 🚀 You can also monitor important activity by building custom alerts for code changes and PRs to (e.g. "was a file in the 'billing' directory modified?", "was a bugfix branch created?", "was I mentioned in a Commit message?"). So you can focus on your code, knowing that you won't miss any important changes 🧘 Here's a quick summary of the features: 🎯   Keep Your Team Aligned Send your team a daily report of Pull Request and Commit activity. It makes daily standup meetings way more efficient, and it’s an easy way to reduce bugs and promote collaboration. ⭐   Keep Your Team Motivated Give teammates Kudos to acknowledge great work. Peer recognition makes work visible and builds morale. 🧠   Track Important Change Monitor sensitive files, build custom alerts for PRs, or just get a Slack DM if you’re mentioned in a Commit message. The GitDailies Expression Builder unlocks endless possibilities. 🧘   Avoid Notification Overload Alerts can be sent immediately or in your daily summary. Avoid distracting notifications and create a calm space for deep work. 🔎   Visualize Pushes Use the Visualizer to see the effect of a Push. Identify Commits that touch many areas of the codebase, and easily spot unexpected or risky changes. I'm really looking forward to hearing your feedback. Please ask me any questions :) Patrick

Hello 🙂 We've been using GitDailies for about 2 months now (AI company). What we love about it - Give kudos to team member for their work (previously this resulted in noise in the PR comments - Get notifications if commits are in breech of code styles and best practices (custom rules) - Get notification if there are changes to certain files (critical for operator) - Daily summary of changes (easy to see what other members on the team are working on a get an overview of the day's changes) So far we love the product and the support from the GitDailies team have been great 🙌

We've been using GitDailies at Kitemaker for a while now. I love: - The visualization aspect. It's really nice to use it as a method of seeing how coupled various parts of your system are - The ease of integrating to tools like ours. It was super easy to make any mention of a Kitemaker work item ID link to the work item itself (similar to the way GitHub itself does it with auto links)

Thanks @ksimons ! The feedback from you and the team at Kitemaker has been really helpful 🪁 🤩
