Hi Product Hunt, I'm Illia, the developer behind Gift Buddy.
It started with three identical sweaters at one family Christmas. Everyone asked what I wanted, nobody wanted to spoil the surprise, and the result was the same gift three times. Gift Buddy is my answer: you keep one wishlist, share it with the people who buy for you, and they claim items between themselves. The list owner never sees who took what, and you can claim anonymously so nobody else does either.
Beyond the list: a feed of the people you follow, birthday reminders with time left to order, and group gifts where up to ten people prepare one present together. We deliberately handle no money.
It's free on iPhone, with paid plans that raise the limits. The app speaks English and Ukrainian; an Android build is in testing. I'd love honest feedback, especially from people who run big family gift exchanges: what would stop you from switching from a shared note or an Amazon list?
