I'm excited to share getStack with you โ a tool that helps you track open-source technology trends straight from GitHub. I have been thinking about this project for the last 2 years and finally took the time to build it in the last month.
Every week, getStack fetch more than 25K GitHub repositories, amongst the most popular, extract the technologies and save it in a large ClickHouse instance.
๐ Track adoption trends of any language, framework, or tool over time
๐ Explore the top repos using a given technology
๐ง Instantly see the tech stack behind any GitHub repo (no manual digging!)
We built getStack because staying on top of the open-source world can be overwhelming โ thereโs so much noise and not enough signal. getStack is meant to give developers, tech leads, and curious minds a clear view of whatโs gaining traction.
If you're scouting new tools, doing market research, or just love following tech trends โ this is for you.
Would love to hear what you think, and what you'd want us to add next! ๐
Is there any historical trend data available beyond just weekly updates like month over month or year over year insights for a tech stack?
Report
This tool is incredibly useful thank you for making GitHub trends so much easier to digest. Are you thinking about adding notifications or weekly digests to keep users updated automatically?

Nango
@sebastian_leoย Not really for the moment, you can change github.com to getstack.dev and get any repo (above 1500 stars), e.g: https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n -> https://getstack.dev/n8n-io/n8n
