How does it actually handle the messy handwriting you see on old borehole logs from the 80s and 90s, the ones where engineers used shorthand and inconsistent symbols?
@semihdolaner Great question. Those older logs are definitely the hardest case. @GeoLayer handles many handwritten logs well, but shorthand, inconsistent symbols, and poor scan quality can still be challenging. We're continuously improving the models with more real-world borehole logs, so those edge cases keep getting better. If you have an example from the 80s or 90s, I'd genuinely love to test it.
The Excel export came out clean on a messy handwritten log I tested. Wish I had this a few projects ago when I was manually keying borehole data for weeks.
@glayengzelfwle Thank you, Gülay! That was exactly the workflow we wanted to eliminate. Hearing that it would've saved you weeks means a lot. If you come across any old logs you'd like to test, I'd love to hear how @GeoLayer handles them.
