@gearslots you store the images on chain too? isn't that bad for gas cost and tx?

@ucefkh Since the individual pieces of gear can be traded - which means the content of each token can be changed at any time - the images are generated each time the blockchain is queried. Everything is stored on chain, even the pieces of the images that are used to generate the tokens when the contract is queried. This does increase gas cost a bit. It also completely removes the opportunity for a rug pull. Like with most things, there's trade offs. Thanks for your question!

@akovalevskyi Right now it's 100% on ethereum. We have plans in the roadmap to expand and build out cross-chain battles; however that's not available today :)

@akovalevskyi A quick update - we've deployed to Polygon! With the switch, the gas fees are drastically reduced. Our #1 concern we received was gas fees on ETH made the NFT unusable. With Polygon, it's no longer a concern. I hope you enjoy using Gear Slots on Polygon!

Interesting concept. So the gear is generated at mint, and we can trade that? Are there other pieces we can trade? I like that the images aren't stored on S3 or something. I wish more NFT projects would store their assets on the chain. Do you have a listing on the rarity of the gear?
