Hi PH! I’m Amo,I’ve been a big user of Product Hunt since its launch and I’m pretty ecstatic to be finally launching something of my own in the form of Fullstack Serverless GraphQL. I really enjoy using AWS Lambda and GraphQL, so I’ve created a resource for other engineers to use as a reference on how to implement these technologies on the backend but also use GraphQL with React and Vue on the frontend. Why not just React? Or just Vue? Truth be told I enjoy using both for different use cases. Vue is so easy to pick up for lightweight tasks like blogs and other simple content driven apps. Also the way it incorporates styling feels really natural to me, especially once paired with TailwindCSS. React on the other hand is perfect for apps that require more advanced patterns or for larger scale applications. With the React part of the course, we delve into setting up Apollo Local State as a replacement for Redux. Post finishing the React part of Lunar Tour, I feel Redux is still better placed as a state management tool because it is overkill to have schema validation for the data you’re going to use for state management. This project was hugely inspired by the folks over at Anomaly Innovations(https://anoma.ly/) who created the Serverless Stack(https://serverless-stack.com/) which is a course that teaches you to ship Serverless APIs with REST. Enjoy! 🔫
