I built Fruitizy. It started in July as a small side project to make a fruit game I'd actually want to play, and it turned into the thing I've been playing on the couch every night since. It got 5k customers in just a month, with avg session time 3hrs, which means, its not only me who love the idea of the game. The basics: drop fruit into a jar, and when two of the same kind touch they merge into the next one up. Cherries become strawberries, strawberries become oranges, and so on up to a golden fruit. If the pile crests the line, the run is over. That's Endless mode, with a weekly leaderboard that resets every Monday. The part I'm most proud of is Adventure mode. Instead of a hundred copies of the same puzzle, it's 37 hand-tuned levels that rotate between four completely different game types: 🍒 Fruit Pair: merge challenges with real goals, like "have three melons on the board at once" 🧺 Rush: a basket that sweeps back and forth on its own, and your only control is tapping to freeze it 🫗 Pour: open pegs and draw ramps to guide juice drops into the right jars 🧠 Brain: six little memory and attention games, all made of fruit A few things I stubbornly wanted: • Every fruit is a character with a face and a mood, drawn in a comic style • Power-ups (bomb, spinner, earthquake, magnet) each get one free use per run, and every button tells you upfront whether it's free • The magnet only ever makes one merge. An early version pulled every pair on the board at once, and testers told me it made the game too easy. Hardest balancing problem in the whole project • It plays right in the browser at fruitizy.com. No download, no signup It's free on iOS and Android, with an optional one-time unlock for the full adventure and a coin shop if you want extra power-ups. No energy timers, no forced ads mid-run.
