Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm a solo web marketer who struggled every day with "what should I cook tonight?"
So I built Fridge Chef AI — just type what's in your fridge and AI suggests meals, recipes, costs, and even a full weekly plan.
Zero coding experience. Built in one day with AI tools. Now available in 5 languages!
Would love your feedback 🙏

Does it actually check what's already expired or just trust whatever I type in there?

@seval472869 Great question! Currently, the app trusts whatever you input — it doesn't automatically check expiration dates. You just type what you have, and the AI suggests meals based on that. However, adding an expiration date tracking feature is a great idea! I'll consider building that into a future update so the app can warn you when ingredients are about to expire. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙏

@seval472869 Great news — I just shipped an update inspired by your comment! You can now add expiration dates to your pantry ingredients, and the app will warn you with badges when items are about to expire or already expired. Really appreciate the suggestion! 🙏

The cost-per-serving estimate is such a thoughtful touch. So many recipe apps ignore the actual economics of cooking, glad someone finally built that in.

@n_yay71134 Thank you so much! 😊 You nailed exactly why I built this feature — most recipe apps focus only on what to cook, but ignore the real cost of cooking. As someone living alone and trying to save money, I wanted to make budgeting feel effortless. Really glad it resonates with you! 🙏
