Create unique mazes using six generation algorithms, preset or custom dimensions, random seeds, adjustable walls, and personalized colors. Animate the generation process, reveal solutions, or play using arrow keys, WASD, and swipe controls. View maze statistics and export your creation as PNG or SVG, copy the SVG code, or print it—all free with no signup.

We built the FreeWWW Maze Generator because creating a useful maze for a game, worksheet, puzzle, or classroom activity often requires design software or provides very limited customization.
The tool began with a simple maze-generation algorithm. We expanded it to include six different algorithms, custom dimensions, seeded generation, adjustable wall styles, personalized colors, animation controls, solution display, and detailed statistics.
We also added an interactive play mode with keyboard and mobile swipe controls, along with PNG, SVG, copy, and print options for easy sharing and reuse.
Our goal is to give teachers, game designers, puzzle creators, parents, and students a flexible way to generate and enjoy unique mazes. We would love to see what you create!

Love how customizable this is, especially the SVG export option. One thing that would make it even better is a multiplayer mode where two players race through the same maze from different starting points using split-screen or online play. Would add a fun competitive element to all these algorithms.

this looks really cool, the six algorithm options are a nice touch. one thing i'd love to see is a shareable link feature so i can send a maze to a friend and they get the exact same puzzle with the solution hidden. would make it way more fun to challenge people.

Love that the generation is animated instead of just spitting out the final maze. Watching the algorithm carve through the grid before you actually play it adds a whole extra layer to the experience.

The choice to include both WASD and swipe controls alongside arrow keys shows real thought for how people actually interact with mazes across devices. Love that the SVG export comes with copyable code too.

the fact that you can animate the generation process and then play through it with arrow keys is genuinely cool, and exporting both PNG and SVG without any signup friction is exactly how it should be done. really nice execution.
