We built Framer to Next.js because we kept seeing the same problem: people loved building websites in Framer, but when it came time to move those sites to Next.js, the process became painful. Manually rebuilding the site meant losing hours of work, animations, responsiveness, styling, and all the small details that make a Framer site feel like a Framer site. So we spent the last 1.5 months building FNJ with one goal: make that transition as simple as possible. You can now convert Framer websites into Next.js or clean HTML while keeping the design and interactions as close to the original as possible. The process has definitely evolved while building it. We tested different approaches, broke things, fixed them, and learned that there isn't one perfect way to convert every Framer site. That's why we built multiple conversion methods depending on what you actually need. FNJ is still early, and we're actively improving it based on real websites and feedback from people using it.
