FormCaddie is an AI golf coach that analyzes your swing and gives you instant, actionable feedback. It evaluates key swing checkpoints using computer vision and compares your movement against tour-calibrated data. Live Range Session lets you practice continuously and get feedback between shots, while all swing analysis runs directly on your device for speed and privacy.
How did Astra change the scope or ambition of what you built?

GPT-6 Astra significantly improved FormCaddie’s analysis speed. I asked Astra to review the full analysis workflow and identify bottlenecks, and the changes it suggested cut the analysis time roughly in half. That improvement made it possible to run the AI vision pipeline locally not only on newer iPhones, but also on older devices. As a result, FormCaddie can deliver faster feedback to more users, even on older IPhones.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Nicolai, the solo developer behind FormCaddie.
I built FormCaddie because I wanted golf swing feedback that was fast enough to actually use while practicing, without having to upload every swing to a server or wait for a coach to review it.
FormCaddie uses computer vision to analyze key positions throughout the golf swing and gives you specific feedback on what you’re doing well and what you should work on.
One of the features I’ve focused on most is Live Range Session. You can keep hitting balls while FormCaddie analyzes your swings and gives you feedback between shots, making it feel much more like having a coach with you at the range.
The analysis runs directly on your device, which keeps it fast and means your swing videos don’t need to be uploaded to a server.
I’m still actively improving the models and would really appreciate feedback from golfers here, especially on what you’d want from an AI swing coach.
Thanks for checking it out!
