Shopify retired Stocky, its free purchasing and forecasting app, on 31 August 2026. Thousands of small stores lost the tool that told them what to reorder. The alternatives mostly fall into two camps: expensive platforms built for brands with an ops team, or "AI forecasts" that give you a number with no reason behind it.
Foreshelf is built for the store owner who does purchasing on a Sunday night:
→ It reads your sales and inventory history (read-only, it never changes your store).
→ Every product gets a status: Reorder now, Reorder soon, Stockout, Overstock, Healthy.
→ Every recommendation explains itself: "Sells 5/day, 12 days of stock left, 14-day lead time → reorder 90 now."
→ Group the reorder list by supplier, edit quantities, turn it into purchase orders, and receive stock with a barcode scanner.
→ The dead stock report shows how much cash is tied up in products that haven't sold in 90+ days.
Coming from Stocky? Upload any CSV with a SKU column and map your suppliers, lead times and minimum order quantities. No special export format needed.
