Designers have a lot of fonts. Lots of fonts equals lots of font licenses. And there was no place to store or manage these licenses. Well, up until now! Intorducing: Font Licensing in FontBase.
With Licenses in FontBase, we add the ability for design teams in small, medium and enterprise businesses to create, manage and monitor font license compliance. Now you can set the limit of seats per each font, and your team members won't be able to activate fonts past that limit. Got a license for a font with only "5 computers" -> Added font to FontBase -> Go to Family page -> Clicked "License all" -> Entered 5 seats -> Bada bing bada boom now you will stay compliant and no font foundry will cry in the corner.
And the best part: it is synced automatically across your team.
We were looking into this, and no mainstream font manager currently on the market offers this type of features and with this ease of use. So go ahead and try it out and let us know how you like it. Font licensing is available now in all FontBase Awesome plans, starting at $3/month/team member.
Congrats on the launch! 🚀
Font licensing is one of those problems teams usually ignore until it becomes risky. I like that FontBase makes compliance part of the normal font workflow instead of forcing teams into a separate license-tracking spreadsheet.
Curious if admins can get alerts when a team is close to a seat limit or when someone tries to activate a font beyond the license count.

@prashant_patil14 Not right now, but the usage numbers are visible. And we plan on adding more extensive monitoring.
Does the free version have any limits on how many fonts you can activate at once, or is everything fully unlocked with no upsells?

@kaan_uzune6287 Currently there is no limit!
The interface feels so considered, especially how the weight sliders respond instantly without lag. Nice work making a tool that designers actually want to open.
