A free Pomodoro timer that works offline and learns the session length you actually finish. It is not just a timer - the whole focus workflow. Plan the day, run deep-focus sessions, log what pulls you away, and get real analysis back. FocusOS learns the session length you actually finish, not the one you optimistically planned.
I didn't need a better timer. I needed to know where my focus was going.
Most mornings I'd open my laptop without a plan. Then I'd lose hours to "just checking" my phone and never notice how often it happened.
So I built FocusOS, a free Pomodoro workspace that plans your day and tracks your focus sessions and distractions.
No sign-up. Works offline. Your data never leaves your browser.
Here's how to get the most out of it 👇
1️⃣ Plan before you focus
Add today's tasks with a priority and a rough session estimate. Be specific: "Draft intro section" works better than "writing." The dashboard turns that list into an order for your day.
2️⃣ Log every interruption
Something pulls you away? Press D and tap what it was. It takes two seconds. After a week, you'll see what breaks your focus most and how far into a session it usually hits.
3️⃣ Do the 2-tap check-ins
They take a few seconds, but they're what the adaptive engine learns from. After about 10 sessions, it suggests your best session length, shows your peak hours, and puts your hardest work in them.
4️⃣ Keep the timer in view
Press P to float it over your other windows. Add brown noise or rain if you work better with background sound.
The point isn't to do more Pomodoros. It's to see how you actually work, based on your own data.
