Review FocuSee?
Reviewers mostly see FocuSee as a fast, easy way to turn screen recordings into polished tutorials and demos, with repeated praise for auto-zoom, cursor highlights, captions, voice cleanup, smart cuts, and an interface that combines recording and editing in one workflow. A founder of Chinilla echoes that it handles zooms, transitions, and cursor effects with little setup. The main complaints are reliability and workflow gaps: some users report failed or incomplete exports, crashes, awkward UI details, removed sharing options, and requests for better voice import, narration control, templates, and basic editing tools.
I’ve tried a bunch of screen recording tools, but FocuSee really stands out with its smart auto-zoom, motion blur, and layout features - all without needing to edit manually. It fits perfectly into my design tutorial workflow and genuinely saves time while making the videos look pro. If you're a creator or educator, this is a must-try.

Thank you so much for the feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that FocuSee is fitting well into your design tutorial workflow. We built it with creators and educators in mind, and it's great to see it saving you time while enhancing video quality. Stay tuned for more features – we're constantly working to improve it!
Cool idea. However, without features like ctrl + Z, panning, fade in/out and transitions, it is very easy to find something wrong after the export. I understand this is still the early stage of this product, but maybe at least allow exporting the same recording until the user gets it right and is satisfied? The free version allows only 1 export.
Hi~Sorry for the inconvenience caused. You can export the video, but there will be a watermark if you are not a paid user. We will upgrade and update Focusee's functions in the second half of this year. I hope this helps.
FocuSee has 1-upped my product showcase game on X.
Its blur-effect on zoom-in is so good that I continue to use the app despite it not working in "Crop" or "Window" mode. (Reach out FocuSee team if you want a more detailed bug report!)
Why I am not able to raise the support ticket at imobie site and also when i am using app, When I record a video, the recording process seems to work fine. However, after finishing the recording and opening the app to export the video, the video is incomplete. For example, if I record a 5-minute video, only 2 or 3 minutes are shownport ticket in the imobie site and also while using the app
I am recording on the macbook air m1, macos 15.5
Congratulations on your launch! One question though: me and my coworkers currently use Camtasia for the same purpose. Can you tell me what benefits will I get if I switch to your product? I mean, you know your competitors, so for sure you know where you beat them. One thing in particular that bothers me if the notebook system requirements for Camtasia — with every new update it becomes slower and slower :( How is it with your product?
Thanks, Elena! In my opinion, FocuSee differs significantly from Camtasia. While Camtasia is more like traditional screen recording and editing software, FocuSee is specifically designed to be lightweight, user-friendly, and highly automated. In addition, AI features will be gradually added to help users save more time on pre- and post-recording. And, trust me, FocuSee will not become slower and less responsive after updates.
I just purchased, I did a recording for a demo for a client. UI is good, very easy to use. I did not even have to make any adjustments at all; I only did a cursor effect change. Love the product. Yes I already have screenrun, but wanted to invest with Focusee as well. My only question @inc_gemoo is, do you have the upgrade pricing for V2, and how soon do you think it will be for the release?
Hey @pvpiano , thanks for your support. And I'm really glad you're happy with Fousee. As for V2, it will not be released in at least 1 year, we will focus on improving the functionality and smoothness of the V1 version, as well as adding more features. And you know what, I'd like to offer all early users who support us a lifetime deal. This means that users who purchase now will be able to receive future updates for free, including V2, V3, and beyond. Hope you enjoy it! 🤗Stay tuned!
I've been using Screen Studio for a while, but this one is a significant step up. It provides a much more robust feature set and greater flexibility in editing, giving me more creative control. The fact that it's also significantly more affordable makes it an unbeatable value. Genuinely impressed and highly recommended!
Wow — thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! 🙌
We’re genuinely honored to hear that FocuSee feels like a step up, especially coming from a Screen Studio user. Giving creators more flexibility and control (without the complexity) is exactly what we aim for — and it’s amazing to see that resonate.
We’ll keep working hard to bring even more powerful and intuitive features your way. Thanks again for the kind words and the recommendation — it truly means a lot!
What's the point of the application if I can't export the video? When I tried using the minimal setting and exporting 15 seconds of video, the application hogs all the memory and crashes. I was looking forward to it. But sadly this let me down
Thank you for your honest feedback — and I’m really sorry you ran into this issue. That definitely shouldn’t have happened, and I understand how frustrating it must’ve been.
The good news is: we’ve already released an update that fixes the crash and high memory usage during export. It should now work smoothly, even on minimal settings and shorter clips.
If you’re open to giving it another try, we’d love to hear how it goes — and we truly appreciate your early support.
FocuSee is a very convenient and intuitive app for creating tutorials. The new 2.0 release adds powerful AI features that make editing even easier and smarter. Tested and fully approved!

Started using today and already loving it. saves time in zoom in and out effects. Let's see if in future they can add layers and effects for Text or shapes.
