Focus Zip: Focus Zip watches the app or browser tab you're actually in

To help people be focus in an era saturated with dopamine

o Focus Zip works the other way around. You type what you’re working on, in plain words — “learning Italian”, “finishing the pitch deck”. It then watches the active window and browser tab and asks one question: does this match what you said you’d do?

Obvious cases are decided on your computer, instantly and for free.

Ambiguous ones go to our server, which asks Claude. That’s how it knows Anki and your docs belong to “learning Italian” without you listing a single keyword.

First slip is a nudge. Keep slipping and you get a full-screen lock — and the dismiss button’s cooldown doubles every time you use it.

On privacy, plainly: it reads window and tab titles, never page content, never keystrokes. Obvious titles never leave your machine. Session history stays local. Full policy on the site.

You can make the lock screen yours — pick a background or draw on it with a pen, crayon or brush. It sounds silly until a lock screen in your own handwriting tells you to get back to work.

Honest limitations, so nobody’s surprised:

Windows 10/11 only. A macOS build exists but has never run on a real Mac, so I’m not shipping it.

The installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning. There’s a page explaining exactly what to click, plus a SHA-256 checksum to verify the download.

It’s a free beta. Paid plans exist in the app but the beta unlocks the full thing.
