Hey Product Hunt,
I built Flintalk because of a pattern I kept noticing on my own calls.
Someone would ask me something I genuinely knew, and I'd still stumble—not because I didn't know the answer, but because the exact number or detail was buried in a proposal PDF three folders deep.
The call moves at talking speed. Your files don't.
By the time I found the answer, the conversation had already moved on, and I sounded less prepared than I actually was.
So I built Flintalk a macOS overlay that listens to the call with you.
When a question comes up, Flintalk suggests an answer in about a second, using your own PDFs and notes. It also shows the source file underneath, so you know where the answer came from.
A few things I cared about:
No bot joins the call
Works with anything that plays audio
The overlay doesn't appear in screen shares
Press `⌘⇧T` before a call to take a real screenshot and verify the screen-share protection yourself
It's built for people who need to recall information while the conversation is happening:
Sales reps handling pricing and competitor questions
Customer success teams answering product questions on the spot
Consultants and founders who are the only person on their side of a call
Recruiters dealing with details buried in job specs
One honest limitation: Flintalk suggests answers; it doesn't speak for you.
If it mishears a mumbled question, the suggestion can be wrong. You still need to think, judge the answer, and actually have the conversation.
I built it because I wanted to spend less time searching through files during calls, and more time actually talking to people.
