Start with a film or show you already love, see what sits closest to it and why, and hop your way to the next thing worth watching. It is a connected map of cinema that links films by their vibe, plot, and characters to guide you to your next favorite story through the ones you already love.
Hey everyone!
FlickHop was born out of the "post-movie void." You know that feeling when the credits roll on a masterpiece like Scarface or Taxi Driver, and you just want more of that exact energy?
I always found myself searching for movies like the one I just watched, only to be disappointed by a generic list of 10 titles that felt disconnected. I would click one, and the journey would just stop there. It felt like movie discovery was broken.
I wanted to build something that felt like a conversation with a film-buff friend. Instead of a list, I built a graph. Every movie is a node in a web, connected by its vibe, characters, and plot. You just hop from one film to the next, following a thread of taste that never really ends.
I would love to know: were you able to find a movie you actually want to watch next? Was the graph actually useful for picking your next movie night?
Also, if your favorite film is missing, let me know in the comments and I will add it to the web!
