Gavin Delany
Hi Everyone, I’m Gavin, founder of Travelstride and one of the makers of FlexiPass - an industry-first collection of expert-planned trips around the globe accessible with one pass and completely worry-free. We designed it for today’s uncertain travel environment, knowing we all need something practical and inspiring to look forward to. Who is this for? You! You probably love to travel. Or know people who do (amazing gift). But how do you plan a vacation when you're not sure what's going to be open and when? Or even if you do, what if you need to cancel? How it works? With FlexiPass, you have the thrill of committing to your next dream adventure with the peace of mind that you can cancel any time or wait to pick the location, brand, or itinerary for up to 2 years. We’ve partnered with 23 of the top travel brands to provide you with a world class selection of trip destinations and styles - from luxurious journeys to adventurous treks and everything between. Choose from over two thousand trips going to every corner of the planet. No two travelers explore the same way, so we brought together the best global and local travel experts in order to have something for everyone. We hope you enjoy locking in your next adventure today, and saving up to $600. Here’s some light at the end of the tunnel for 2020. We hope it helps you be optimistic to travel again when the time is right for you. PS - We’d love your feedback on the value prop and how we communicate it on travelstride.com/flexipass. Please tell us what you like, find confusing etc!

@saalex Thanks!

I'm confused why the trip costs are generally several times more than even the most expensive tier of Flexipass. Is the price the cost of both the pass and the trip? Or how exactly does this work?
Mark Rodriguez
@ellebelle Great question and thanks for the feedback! We're working on including a more diverse selection of trips to showcase within the carousel on the page. We're learning that it would be much more useful for users to see trips that are closer to the tier value they might purchase. Additionally, the price of the trip is separate from the price of the FlexiPass. For clarity around how it works, let's say: - You found a 5 day tour of Ireland that perfect for you and it costs $750 - You choose to redeem a $625 FlexiPass 750 for this trip. - Upon redemption your out of pocket price for the original trip is: (Ireland Tour $750) - (FlexiPass $750) = Fun times in Ireland You saved $125 just for planning ahead with FlexiPass!

@ellebelle Hi great question. Thanks! We should have merchandized that initial carousel better! But worry not, there's many trips below the pricing tiers. Here's a list of trips: - under $800: https://www.travelstride.com/tri... - $800-1300: https://www.travelstride.com/tri... - And here's $1,300-2,500: https://www.travelstride.com/tri... You can always adjust the budget slider on the filters once you go the full list of trips pages. We just didn't showcase cheaper trips on the initial landing page (though we're changing that based on your and other feedback). The way it works is you redeem a FlexiPass for a trip. If you want a more expensive trip than the face value of the pass, you would pay the difference.

@ellebelle @mrodriguez Thanks for explaining!

This is exactly what the travel industry and travelers need right now. Everyone wants to travel but there is still so much unknown about what the future holds. Great idea and well done!
Gavin Delany
@jalster Thanks amigo. Well said. Appreciate you!

Flexible travel is crucial for 2021, at least in my books 😄 I've added some feedback over the landing page - it looks great! Keep up the great work, and congratulations to you and your team for the hard work so far!
Gavin Delany
@christian_piponides Thanks for the feedback. Greatly appreaciated. We're excited to share with folks, and keep improving. It was a lot of work, especially to build the alliance of global tour operators and explain how providing this type of collaboration would benefit them and local communities supported by tourism, not just the consumer.

This is a great product for digital nomads @gavin_delany
Wess Zoghlami
Is this an expensive travel gift card ?
Gavin Delany
@wassim_zoghlami2 In some ways this is like a gift card. Some ways it may be different from a typical gift card most poeple think of are: A) when you purchase it now, you get a big amount of bonus value, depending on the denomination, upd to 32% or $600. B) You can use the FlexiPass for entire trip packages, many of which also include airfare, but all of which include lodging, activities, guides, local transport, and some food. C) You can choose from 23 different travel brands to redeem from including well-known global tour operators like Intrepid, Audley, or Collette, as well as several local specialists per continent, for example Nature Travel Namibia.
