⚡️Flashmint

⚡️Flashmint

Mint from the presale of any NFT.

Flashmint is a protocol that lets anyone buy or sell spots on NFT presale allowlists. Using smart contracts, it ensures buyers only pay if they mint successfully. People deposit their gating NFT or create sellable WL addresses for discord and charge a fee.

This is rad. Can't wait to use it!

I made ⚡️Flashmint because (obviously enough) I wanted to mint an NFT but couldn't because I didn't have the other NFT it was gated on. Since I announced the first prototype, I've heard a ton about how hard it is to snag a presale spot – it's given rise to memes about "the discord grind" or "the WL grind". Flashmint is a marketplace that lets people who have these NFTs "lend it out" for a fee of their choosing. The design of the smart contracts makes it so that (1) deposited NFTs are safe and never leave the vault, and (2) buyers won't pay any fees unless they're able to mint successfully. In addition to presales that gate by owning some other NFT, people also engage with projects early in discord in hopes of being whitelisted for a presale. For them, I've made Sellable WL addresses – fresh addresses people can give to NFT mods, backed by a smart contract, that facilitates the same sale mechanics. We're able to do this all this without needing permission from the people running the NFT sale or the NFT creators. I'm hopeful that it becomes a useful way to get around some of the exclusion that has become common in NFTs, and it lets discord grindooors and mintpass owners earn meaningful fees.
