Hi everyone,
I built FinX because I wanted a finance tracker where I decide where the data lives. It is a React web app with a Node.js and PostgreSQL backend, plus a native Android app.
What it does:
- Income, expenses, budgets and savings goals, with categories, sources and targets.
- Works offline on the phone and syncs when you are back online.
- Recurring rules for salary, rent and subscriptions.
- Sharing with per-user edit rights.
- 10 languages, 5 themes, dark mode.
Self-hosting is free and includes every Pro feature: github.com/IT-BAER/finx (Docker Compose or a Debian/Ubuntu installer). If you do not want to run a server, there is managed hosting at myfinx.app, 5.99 EUR a month after a 7 day trial. The license is Apache 2.0 with Commons Clause, so source-available, not OSI open source.
Limits: the Android app itself is closed source, and the gallery shows the Android app because I have no web screenshots ready yet.
Feedback welcome.
