I'm Stefan, and I built FinancialAha after getting frustrated with the budgeting app landscape.
Every app wanted my bank login & they charge $79-109/year. When Mint shut down, lots of people lost years of financial history overnight. I thought: why can't financial planning just live in a spreadsheet I own?
So I built these spreadsheet templates that are designed to be:

The Financial Planning template is my flagship. It tracks all your assets, projects your net worth growth, and helps you plan for retirement. It's what I personally use to manage my own finances.

I’ve actually used these spreadsheets, and they’ve been a genuine help. What I like most is that everything is clear, transparent, and fully under your control, no hidden logic, no forced subscriptions, no need to connect bank accounts. Just solid formulas that make sense and are easy to adapt to your own situation.
You can tell this was built by people who care about how it’s used in real life, not just how it looks. It’s practical, flexible, and something you can keep improving over time.

What I love about this project: customers in 40+ countries, zero advertising spend. Just useful templates that people recommend to friends.

Nice product and the privacy angle is spot on. Getting people to trust you with financial data is always tough, and this solves it in quite an interesting way. I never even thought of selling a template for google sheets as a way to productize something! Question - how are updates to the template handled?
