FilePolish is a local-first file workshop for Windows. Convert HEIC photos, compress images or PDFs to a target size, clean photo metadata, and handle image batches. It shows measured output details and protects originals by default. Single-file tools are free; batch work and some PDF editing are paid. I’m looking for candid feedback on whether a newcomer can choose a tool and finish a job without guessing.

Hi, I’m Biruk, the maker of FilePolish. I built it after too many small file jobs—HEIC to JPG, a PDF under an upload limit, removing location metadata—sent me to upload sites. I wanted those operations to run locally and to see the actual output size before saving. Early feedback was blunt: beginners couldn’t always tell what to do next. I revised the workflow, but I don’t want to pretend that is solved. If you try it, tell me where you hesitate: finding the right tool, understanding what changes, or locating the result.
