I built this because I kept hitting the same wall: I need to move a file between my phone and laptop, and every option has a catch. AirDrop is Apple-only. WeTransfer uploads to their files. Everything else needs an account or an app install. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT? It is stupid easy, no need to think, just follow the flow :) ShareBetweenDevices skips all of that. You drop a file, a QR code appears, the other device scans it, transfer starts. The file goes directly between browsers over WebRTC — my server only handles the signaling handshake and never sees the content. The session evaporates when you close the tab. Clipboard text also works, which ended up being my personal most-used feature — copying a URL from phone to laptop in one scan. Happy to answer any questions!
