Drop a file and get its SHA-256, SHA-1, SHA-384, SHA-512 and MD5. Paste the hash from the download page, or a whole SHA256SUMS list, and see which files match. It runs in your browser. No upload, no account, no size limit.

Hi, I'm Marcello. I spent five years in software supply chain security at aDolus Technologies. I took apart attacks like 3CX and the XZ backdoor. Now I build small tools that run in the browser.
I built File Hasher because every checksum site I tried either uploaded the file or choked on a big one. A checksum check should not need a server.
You drop a file or a folder. It reads each file once and gives you SHA-256, SHA-1, SHA-384, SHA-512 and MD5. You can paste the hash from a download page, or a full SHA256SUMS list, and each file gets a match or no-match mark. It also tells you when two files hold the same bytes. Export is sha256sum text, CSV or JSON.
Once the page loads, it makes no network calls. You can check that in the network tab. It also works offline after the first visit.
It does not sign anything, verify GPG signatures or compare against a remote list. It only hashes and compares.
Which hash feature do you wish your current tool had? I want to know what to add.
