They collect critical data on paper, drive hours to get connectivity, then manually enter everything into a system. By the time it reaches a dashboard, half the context is lost. I watched this happen firsthand working with teams across West Africa. Existing tools like Esri Field Maps cost $350+/yr per user and still struggle offline. KoBoToolbox and ODK are free but require custom setup and have no cross-site data layer. Fieldpin is offline-first from the ground up — not "works offline sometimes." Workers drop a GPS pin, fill a pre-loaded form, attach photos. Everything saves locally and auto-syncs when signal returns. The platform is industry-agnostic: mining, agriculture, conservation, utilities, humanitarian — each vertical is just a template pack.
