Hi builders! Our story started with a wall calendar. My partner and I had one of those big paper calendars in the kitchen. Everyone could see the week at a glance. It worked - until it didn't. Dentist appointments got missed, school events overlapped, and we were still somehow texting each other "wait, who's picking up today?" at 3pm. So I built a shared family calendar. Just the two of us, just our schedules. That was supposed to be it. Then came the nagging... Every parent knows the ritual: ask your kid to do their chores, get ignored, ask again, get eye rolls, ask a third time, now everyone's in a bad mood. We added chores to the app - with reminders, completion tracking, monthly allowance and a rewards system so our daughter actually had a reason to care. The nagging didn't disappear completely, but it got a lot quieter. Then summer planning hit. Suddenly we were back-and-forth texting about vacation dates, who had time off when, whether we had childcare covered. Three WhatsApp threads and a shared Notes doc later, we added a vacation planner. Then groceries (you get the picture) Meal planning, shopping lists, last-minute "can you grab milk?" texts - we added that too + always on mode so the damned phone stays awake at the store :) At some point we looked at what we'd built and realized: this was the app we actually needed as a family. Not a stripped-down shared calendar. Not a chore app for kids. The whole thing, together, designed around how family life actually works. That's Famnly. Built out of personal necessity, refined through daily use, and now - finally - ready for yours.
