Keep handwritten pages and photos beside clear ingredients and instructions. Organize recipes in folders and share individual recipes or folders through iCloud. A native iPhone app, built for my family and yours.
What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?

I used GPT-6 Astra through Codex during Family Folio's later development: implementing and refining native SwiftUI flows, investigating persistence and sharing issues, writing and running tests, and preparing releases. I directed the product, reviewed the results, and provided device feedback. Earlier development also used other Codex models. Astra is part of the development workflow; the shipped app uses Apple's frameworks and does not call the OpenAI API.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Farzad.
My family has been collecting recipes passed down by our mothers, aunts, and grandparents. I built Family Folio to give us a simple place to keep them and share them with each other.
A recipe can hold its original handwritten pages and photos alongside ingredients, instructions, and notes. You can organize recipes into folders and share a recipe or a named folder through iCloud.
I used Codex throughout development, including GPT-6 Astra for later implementation, testing, and release preparation. I supplied the product direction and reviewed the app on real devices as we worked through revisions.
Family Folio is a small native iPhone app built with SwiftUI, Core Data, and CloudKit. Keeping the family originals alongside a recipe we can cook from was the reason for making it.
I'd love to hear how your family keeps its recipes, and what would make them easier to pass on.
