Hi everyone! I'm Przemysław, the founder of ExpiGuard.
A few years ago, my wife and I opened a body contouring studio. While she was the face of the business, I was mostly the person working behind the scenes.
As a programmer, I ended up handling all the operational things that people rarely think about: ordering supplies, making sure machines were serviced on time or sent back to the manufacturer for maintenance, keeping track of fire extinguisher inspections, employee certifications, insurance, and all the other recurring tasks that quietly keep a business running.
At some point I got tired of trying to remember everything, so I built a very simple internal tool to track expiration and renewal dates. Nothing fancy - it was just something that reminded me before things became overdue.
It turned out to be one of those small tools that made a surprisingly big difference. Instead of worrying about missing renewals or risking unnecessary fines, I always knew what needed attention next.
Unfortunately, the business itself didn't survive. COVID, inflation, and our own lack of business experience left us with a significant amount of debt. For the next few years, my focus wasn't on building products - it was simply on paying everything back and getting our lives back on track.
When we finally became debt-free, I started thinking about that little tool again.
It had genuinely helped me run a real business. So I asked myself: if it solved this problem for me, could it help other companies too?
That question became ExpiGuard.
I took the core idea from that internal tool, rebuilt it from the ground up, and today I'm working on making it useful for businesses that need to stay on top of certifications, inspections, licenses, maintenance, and every other recurring deadline that can easily be forgotten.
I'm still talking to customers, learning every day, and improving the product based on real feedback. If you take a look at ExpiGuard, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think. Thanks for being here!

Does ExpiGuard plug into tools like Slack or Jira so my team gets renewal reminders where they already work, or is everything managed inside the platform?

@sabrinalanyvjj Right now, ExpiGuard sends renewal reminders by email. Thanks for bringing this up - I've just moved Slack and Jira integrations much higher on my roadmap based on feedback like yours.

@sabrinalanyvjj Quick update - Slack integration is now live. For each tracked item, you can choose where you want to receive renewal reminders - via email, Slack, or both.
Jira integration is next. Thanks again for the feedback - your comment genuinely helped me prioritize this.

@sabrinalanyvjj Final update - Jira integration is now live.
ExpiGuard now supports renewal reminders via email, Slack, and Jira, with notification channels configurable for each tracked item.
Thanks again for helping shape the product. If there are any other integrations or workflow improvements that would make ExpiGuard more useful for your team, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

How does the automatic tracking actually work in practice, does it pull data from external systems or rely on us uploading everything manually?

@selahattinjtpw Right now, ExpiGuard relies on manual entry. I'm building the product based on customer feedback, so if integrations with external systems become a common need, they'll move up the roadmap.

Love how the dashboard surfaces expiring certs and inspections in one clean view, no digging through menus. That kind of at-a-glance clarity is exactly what compliance-needy small teams need without feeling overwhelmed.

@arinqaad Thanks! That's exactly the experience I was aiming for. Compliance tracking should make your day simpler, not add another complicated system to manage.

Does ExpiGuard handle automatic renewal alerts for certifications, or do I need to manually set those reminders?

@nisanurnameli Renewal reminders are sent automatically - 60, 30, 7, and 1 day before the expiration date, on the expiration day, as well as 1 and 2 days after it. They're sent at 8:00 AM in your local time zone.
Custom reminder schedules are also on the roadmap, so you'll be able to override these values if needed. The default schedule will always remain available.
My goal with ExpiGuard is to keep it very simple for teams that don't need a lot of configuration, while still providing more advanced settings for those who want greater control.

the way it auto-tracks cert expirations without making you set a million reminders is genuinely useful, that hands-off approach is exactly what compliance needs

@masalikza Thank you! Once your expirations are in the system, it keeps track of them and sends reminders automatically, so you don't have to rely on calendars or dozens of manual reminders. There's still more to build, but making compliance easier with less admin work is the direction I'm focused on.
