I built Excel Explainer because I kept seeing the same problem: people spending hours trying to understand complex Excel workbooks they didn’t create. Whether it was financial reports, client data, or multi-sheet spreadsheets full of formulas, the hardest part wasn’t the numbers — it was understanding what the file was actually saying. I wanted a way to upload an Excel file and instantly get a clear, structured explanation in plain English. Initially, the idea was just simple summaries. But as I built it, I realised users needed more than that — they needed proper report-style outputs, downloadable PDFs, support for multiple sheets, formula interpretation, and something reliable enough for business use. The focus evolved from “AI summary tool” to “turn complex spreadsheets into decision-ready reports.” This launch is just the beginning.
