Hi, I’m Zygis. This is my first app on the App Store, built solo alongside my day job, mainly with GPT-6 Astra.
The idea came from those TikToks and Instagram Reels that point out a detail in a painting and suddenly make you see it differently. I kept playing with that idea, and this is where I ended up.
Everyday A Painting gives you one painting a day. You uncover it, follow a short visual Story through the details, and add it to your own collection. Something small you can return to each day, with paintings you get to know over time.
The name is also a nod to Every Frame a Painting, the YouTube channel about film. I loved how their videos helped me notice things I’d missed in movies.
I started this to learn the whole process: building the app, making the website, setting up subscriptions and getting through App Store review. Seeing it available to download feels pretty good. I’m continuing to find interesting paintings and stories to add as the app grows.

The app is only on iPhone for now, and I’m working on getting it approved for Android. It supports 43 languages and uses a subscription, with a 7-day trial for new subscribers.
