It started in 2023 as a plain journal app. People wrote entries, but a pile of entries never turned into a story anyone would read. So I rebuilt it as a biographer.

You tell Eve your name and when and where you were born, and she writes chapter one. Then she asks one question at a time about the biggest gap in your story: a decade with no chapter or a person you never described. You answer by typing, speaking or adding a photo, and she writes it into the right chapter. You see exactly what changed and can keep it, edit it or undo it.

Most of my time went into keeping it true. Every paragraph shows the answers it was written from. A second check tests each new sentence against what you said, and anything Eve can't back up is cut and shown as a gap instead: "Eve doesn't know yet: the house you grew up in."

Free gets you chapter one and 5 questions a week. Eve+ ($7.99 a month, or $59.99 a year with 7 days free) adds unlimited questions, voice answers, photos in your chapters and a PDF of your book. It works in English and Japanese.

One thing I'd like to know: do Eve's questions feel like a good interviewer's, or like a form?
