Hey! I like the idea! I’m a big fan of Udemy, Coursera and self learning.
Suggestions:
- Please add Product Manager and Ukraine. Description for each position you can find here: https://dou.ua/lenta/tags/%D0%9A...
Popular job sites for tech:
https://jobs.dou.ua/
https://djinni.co/jobs/
Another job sites:
work.ua
rabota.ua
- reduce the number of courses offered to learn the skill (now there are more than 100). I want to see the best courses (I need a few to choose from - usually I pay attention to the number of students who passed, the rating and, at the very end, the price)
- Add feature to save your path
- Add feature to track the progress
- Add feature to see the result of learning/requirements for each job/skill. I mean if I choose data scientist I can see the requirements (skills I need to learn). By Choosing skills I can see what jobs I can do with them (they must correlate with responsibilities in vacancies)
For example, after learning course GoPractice.io (course for product managers, focus on data drive decision with practice based on analytics) I wrote at my CV next bullets (jobs I can do):
- conduct user research (in-person interview, surveys, usability tests)
- analyze the market and competitors (top countries by usage and revenue, consumer behaviours; competitors’ MAU, app downloads/website traffic and revenue)
- create an event structure to collect and analyze it in analytics
- visualize data and simplify it to clear messages about what is behind the numbers
- forecast audience numbers based on new users acquisition, retention rate and virality.
Add feature to see average salaries for each position and grade. For example Dou.ua created this widget https://jobs.dou.ua/salaries/ you can use it. Maybe you can find the same widgets for other countries.
Hope this help.
If you have any question about my use cases - let me know.
And Keep me posted about updates.

@vitoberdi Thanks a lot. With regards to the feedback, we intend to slowly add more countries and professions in, I will add it to the list, we also have to add Salesforce, SAP consultants and Program Managers in the next batch. We actually want at some point to have every possible profession covered. Since we are not backend by any angel/vc, we are running on a very low budget so it might take us a bit but we will get there promised! :)
1. The reducing of number of courses might potentially make a lot of sense, it would provoke more competition between schools which is a good thing for the learners but I am not sure if we want to penalize unknown authors who haven't been recognized yet (We intend to fix it with a rating system and better filtering capabilities though)
2. The tracking of the progress and saving your path is already on the backlog :) We intend to have a neat gamification system where users would gradually fill out their skill lists with courses worth points, so they could even track what they need to still build up ;)
3. For the requirements we actually would like to have more detailed descriptions for not only skills but also profession, we have some functionality planned and designed already so stay tuned.
4. For the average salaries, we were considering it but moved it to lower priority because of the other things higher in the list and our limited resources. We will eventually get back to it though.
Again thanks for your significant input into making it better for all of our users ;)

Hello, Makers!
As you know, we are building Whoonid to help you plan your employment and better match your skills, predispositions and willingness to assign people to projects.
A lot of new things happened, including:
- In the gaming system you can now define what we consider to be Regular and what is Senior (e.g. level 9 Java and level 8 spring)
- You can specify from what minimum level unused skills are to be highlighted as wasted
- There have been rankings of skills on which you can compare who has the greatest knowledge and experience with a given technology (thanks to which also someone lost from the team can look at who you can go to for help).
Again, thank you for leaving comments and upvotes to Whoonid here 💖

Hey everyone,
we created a short product video
👉
How do you like the idea of growing people in the company depicted as watering flowers? Would be great to get some of your feedback!

I use this to educate college students of what the market is looking for in the area they want to get a job in. It is a wonderful resource that save me tons of research in assisting others who need a certain skill for a certain area.

One thing I truly hope to see is average living costs with a mileage selector for distance to work for the larger city areas in each state shown as a percentage of income consumed to be in this area. When I did my job search living expenses for the area was a main concern for considering areas to apply to.

@jstillings1 Thanks Jeremiah, happy to hear you like the app ;) We will consider the average living costs, I've added it to the board but it might take a while till we have this feature since we have a pretty packed backlog.
