Hey everyone! I'm really excited to be sharing the work we did on Economy vs. COVID-19. Our team worked quickly over the past two weeks to create this experience. It was eye-opening digging through some of this data to visualize the effects COVID-19 is having on the economy. Please let us know what you think! As a business owner, I've seen the impact of COVID-19 firsthand. Beyond the challenges I've faced, many of my friends and family have lost their jobs. Other business owners I know have had to close altogether. With that context, over the last two weeks, we've built a public service utility called EconomyvsCOVID.us to help visualize the economic impacts this virus is having on all of us while also showing some other interesting data like a time lapse of COVID-19 normalized across states. Our aim is to help analysts, reporters, states, and the public with this tool.
