EchoID is live! Looking for beta testers and feedback

Hey everyone!

After months of building EchoID alongside my physics degree, everything is finally ready.

The app is now live, the frontend is fully open source, and anyone is welcome to try it out. I'm also preparing the backend for open-source release after cleaning up deployment-specific code and improving the documentation.

EchoID started as a personal challenge to learn how modern communication platforms work. Along the way, it evolved into a privacy-first messaging and social platform with features like anonymous identities, communities, real-time messaging, encrypted communication, and WebRTC voice/video calling.

Building EchoId — a privacy-focused messaging app

Hi everyone

I m currently building EchoId, a privacy-focused messaging project designed around secure real-time communication and minimal data collection.

I was frustrated by how heavily many modern apps are monetized, especially platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

This project is not meant to become a brand or business. The goal is simply to allow messages to be delivered without tracking, profiling, or analysis.
