👋 Founder of EasyCSV here, Spreadsheets run the world for many companies. Which means many products need to have some sort of spreadsheet bulk upload feature. Especially if your app needs to onboard customers who are bringing data over from their previous solution. We built EasyCSV to enable teams to have a bulk spreadsheet import for their application or any public API in minutes. EasyCSV prides itself in many features a dev team may never get to prioritize in a self-made solution: 1. Set up rules & logic to filter out unwanted data. Many CSVs come to you with dirty data. 2. Beautifully simple user-interface for the person who has to do the imports. Usually, spreadsheet importers are ugly and brittle. EasyCSV shows which rows are invalid immediately. Detailed errors with line numbers for the spreadsheet being imported. This makes it easy to fix an issue and get data imported successfully without the need to bug anyone. 3. Status bar that updates as data is being imported. The user can navigate away from the page as well if they don't want to wait. 4. Slack alerts with import information for your team to monitor. 5. Get an email address to auto-import from scheduled CSV export emails (think emailed CSV reports from other apps, like Amazon emails you a CSV of sales numbers). Just use the email address EasyCSV generates and have the CSV data go directly from the email to your import destination. No more having a person that needs to remember to look at and upload emailed CSV reports. 6. Auto-generates an example CSV for users who need to do the uploading. 7. Log of uploads for the account owner to see who is uploading, when they upload, how many records, etc... 8. Lock down the spreadsheet upload page or keep it public. It's up to you. EasyCSV has optional simple password protection as well as Google Account requirements. EasyCSV also supports exchanging one-time use codes with your app for secure uploads. And many more nice to haves! We have also seen some companies use EasyCSV to bring spreadsheet data from a distributed workforce into a central place. Some examples: a. Many sales people in the field upload their weekly sales spreadsheets via EasyCSV to a central Google Sheet without needing access to the Google Sheet itself. The main manager then has reports built on the Google Sheet that is constantly being updated. b. SEO company who has many freelancers uploading lists of links and content ideas to a central place. 🎉You can also bulk upload a spreadsheet to your Zapier account!
