As an educator in academia for 15 years and industry consultant for another 15 years after that, I had always presented "slides" --- first transparencies, chalk-boards, and then PowerPoint, just dealing with the limitations of these linear formats: your audience quickly gets bored in a long talk, it's hard to back-track to specific topics, etc.. I always suspected there was a better way and now I finally built it. The key was presenting not in a linear format, but in a 2D, tree-based format, because this is how classical exposition actually works: you start from a thesis, develop sub-theses, supporting arguments, and so on. By showing the whole structure visually at once, both you and the audience never get lost or stuck in the middle of a myopic experience. And with recent advances in AI, it's now possible to generate these trees from just a starting topic which works as a great first approximation --- the presenter can easily tune and adjust the content according to personal style, as well as add preferential structure.

The 3D tree view is genuinely novel and made my messy brainstorming actually feel navigable. Love that everything saves as a plain JSON I can toss into another LLM later.
